Transparency in decision-making processes in the Western Balkans

On the occasion of the International Day for Universal Access to Information, Foundation for Internet and Society, Metamorphosis, published the results of the analysis of transparency in decision-making processes in four Western Balkans countries: Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The mapping was conducted by the Croatian civil society organization GONG in partnership with CRTA (Serbia), Why not? (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Center for Democratic Transition (Montenegro).

With regard to the implementation of the legislation related to access to public information, the paper has found that the institutions respond to requests on a regular basis, but their responses are formal and without useful information.
